Golu

Being a south Indian, I have to celebrate a festival called Navarathri by building staircases filled with dolls. This is called Golu- and it is such a fun ritual! Along with the stereotype staircase, we can also add a theme to our golu, like parks, temples, and even cities! This is the golu my mom made:-

Can you see the park on the left? Well, that is part of larger theme- which located on the right of the picture. It is a model of Tirupati, the second richest holy place in the world! It is the abode of our family god, known as Lord Venkateshwara, or easier, balaji. We decided to make it grand, as it was the first time after years that we celebrated golu ( personal reasons ) Anyway, My mother, brother and I made a video about the golu, and if you are interested, you can watch it! The link is down below. The idea of the video was given to me by my dad,( it was played when people visited our house ) to make it our celebrations more interesting! I
